Makes 16 servings (2 Tbsp. each). EACH SERVING 48 cal., 5 g fat (1 g sat. fat), 0 mg chol., 39 mg sodium, 3 g carb., 1 g fiber, 0 g sugars, 1 g pro.

Ingredients

â…” cup finely chopped, seeded roma tomatoes
1 to 2 Tbsp. finely chopped red onion
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. lime juice
1 Tbsp. olive oil
¼ tsp. salt
â…› tsp. black pepper
2 ripe avocados, halved, seeded, peeled, and coarsely
mashed

Directions

  1. In a bowl combine the first seven ingredients (through pepper).
    Gently stir in avocados. If desired, cover surface with plastic wrap
    and chill up to 1 hour. Serve with tortilla chips and lime wedges.

SPICY GUACAMOLE Prepare as directed, except stir in one or
more of the following: 1 fresh jalapeño chile pepper, seeded and
finely chopped (tip); 1 canned chipotle chile pepper in adobo
sauce, finely chopped; ¼ tsp. ground ancho chile pepper; ⅛ tsp.
cayenne pepper.
