Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 ounces) young green jackfruit in water or brine, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Slider buns
  • Coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)

Directions

  1. Shred the jackfruit using two forks, removing the core pieces.
  2. In a skillet, combine shredded jackfruit, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until sauce has thickened and jackfruit is tender.
  4. Serve jackfruit on slider buns with coleslaw
